Cleaning day
What to do — and what not to do
Ten minutes of prep gives your helper more time on the things that actually make a home shine.
Please do
- Leave a clear parking spot near the entrance
- Pick up toys, clothing and paperwork so we can clean surfaces
- Secure pets in a safe room or crate
- Tell us your priority rooms in the booking notes
- Set the thermostat to a comfortable working temperature
- Leave access instructions (code, lockbox, key) in your account
Please don't
- Don't plan to stay home during the clean — for safety and insurance reasons the home must be vacant unless an administrator has approved an exception
- Don't schedule other trades in the same rooms at the same time
- Don't leave cash, jewellery or medication out in the open
- Don't ask helpers to use ladders above 2 steps
- Don't leave sharp objects or needles in bins
- Don't run laundry or dishwashers we need to access
- Don't tip in cash — gratuity can be added to your invoice
On the day itself
Arrival window
You'll get an on-my-way text 30 minutes before your helper arrives.
During the clean
You're welcome to stay or head out. Access notes in your account are followed exactly.
After
A photo summary and completion note is sent, then your invoice is charged automatically.
