Our service agreement, in plain language

This is the same document attached to every emailed quote. Read it before you approve your price.

1. Quotes & pricing

Quotes generated online are estimates until reviewed by our team. Your final price is emailed to you with this agreement attached and is valid for 30 days.

Your online estimate is calculated only from the details you enter. If the actual home differs from what was entered, the reviewed quote will be adjusted — up or down — before you approve it.

Common reasons a price changes: actual square footage is larger than entered; more bedrooms, bathrooms, levels or a finished basement/suite than listed; add-ons requested later or identified on site; condition factors such as post-construction dust, heavy pet hair, clutter or mould; a first-time deep clean on a home not cleaned in the last three months; and access, parking or travel outside our regular Prince George service area.

Prices assume a home in reasonably maintained condition. If the actual condition requires materially more time, we will contact you before proceeding and never charge more without written approval.

All prices are in Canadian dollars and exclude GST unless stated.

2. Booking & scheduling

Approving a quote and requesting a date does not confirm a booking. Our team reviews the details and contacts you; an assessment or walk-through may be required depending on the service.

Arrival windows are two hours wide. We send an on-my-way message 30 minutes ahead.

Recurring plans are scheduled automatically and can be paused or changed from your account at any time.

3. Cancellations, rescheduling & lockouts

Free cancellation or rescheduling up to 24 hours before your appointment.

Cancellations inside 24 hours are subject to a $50 fee.

If our team cannot access the home at the scheduled time (lockout), 50% of the service price is charged.

We may reschedule for extreme weather, road closures or staff illness at no cost to you.

4. Payments

Recurring-service payments are captured automatically to the method on file after the service is completed and marked done.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, pre-authorized debit and cash.

For one-time cleans, cash deposits are accepted on the assessment day. Other cash payments must be in a sealed, labelled envelope clearly marked with your name and service date. Loose cash left on counters is not accepted.

One-time cleans require a 50% deposit to reserve the requested date. The balance is due after the cleaning, once the client has checked the work in person.

If the 50% deposit has not been received at least 48 hours before the requested cleaning time, the requested slot is automatically cancelled. The deposit can be paid in cash on the assessment day or by debit or credit card through the client portal.

Failed payments incur a $25 fee and future bookings are paused until the balance is settled.

Gratuity is optional and can be added to any invoice from your account.

5. Our happiness guarantee

If anything is missed, tell us within 48 hours and we will return to re-clean those areas at no charge.

If you remain unsatisfied after the re-clean, we refund the portion of the service in question.

6. Safety & scope

Our helpers do not climb above a two-step stool, move furniture heavier than 20 lbs, or handle biohazards, mould remediation or pest cleanup.

We do not clean exterior windows above ground level.

Pets must be secured. Helpers may leave and bill the visit if they feel unsafe.

Please secure cash, jewellery, medication and confidential documents before the visit.

7. Damage, liability & insurance

We carry commercial general liability coverage for work performed by our assigned team under an approved booking. A current certificate of insurance is available on request before your first clean.

Coverage applies to our own employees on scheduled visits only. It is not a substitute for your home, tenant, strata or business insurance, and it does not extend to work you arrange privately with a helper.

Franchise partners, referral partners, investors and independent contractors are separate businesses. Each is responsible for its own business licence, WorkSafeBC registration, insurance and employment obligations, and nothing on this site should be read as coverage extended to them by us.

Report any suspected damage within 48 hours so we can investigate and repair or replace fairly.

Pre-existing wear, loose or improperly mounted fixtures, and items identified as fragile, antique or irreplaceable are excluded. Please put those items away before the visit.

Our liability for any single service is limited to the price paid for that service unless a claim is accepted under our insurance.

8. Privacy

We collect only the information needed to quote, schedule, service and bill your account.

Access codes and entry instructions are encrypted and shared only with your assigned helper.

We never sell client data. You can request deletion of your account data at any time.

9. Gift cards

Gift cards are issued once payment clears and are emailed to the recipient (or to the purchaser for hand delivery). Each card carries a unique code that must be entered when booking.

Cards are valid for the period printed on the card — 12 months from purchase unless a different term is shown. An expired card cannot be redeemed and its value is not refunded, except where British Columbia law requires otherwise.

Unless stated on the card, each card may be redeemed once. Where a multi-use limit is set, the remaining redemptions are shown in your account. Cards are not redeemable for cash and cannot be reloaded.

If a booking costs more than the card value, the balance is payable by the client at the usual rates. If it costs less, the difference stays on the card only when the card allows more than one redemption.

We track the status of every card — issued, sent, viewed, redeemed or expired — so we can help if a card goes missing. Lost or stolen codes should be reported to the office immediately; we may cancel and reissue a card at our discretion.

Gift cards may be transferred to another person unless transfers have been disabled on that card. Cancellation, deposit and access rules apply to gift bookings exactly as they do to paid bookings.

10. Non-solicitation

Clients agree not to directly hire a Helper employee outside of the company for 12 months following their last service. A $2,500 placement fee applies otherwise.

11. Compliance & safety standards

We operate under a City of Prince George business licence and follow British Columbia employment standards and WorkSafeBC health and safety requirements for our own employees.

Helpers are screened before hire, trained on safe product handling and required to follow our documented cleaning and safety procedures on every visit.

We use consumer-grade cleaning products and do not perform work that requires specialised certification — including biohazard and crime-scene cleanup, mould remediation, asbestos or lead work, pest control, duct cleaning, or exterior work above ground level.

Clients are asked not to remain in the home during a clean. This is a safety requirement for our teams and keeps chemical exposure, trip hazards and liability to a minimum.

We may refuse, pause or leave a job where the site is unsafe, an animal is loose and unsecured, there is harassment or intoxication, or where the requested work falls outside our scope. Time already on site may be billed.

Any incident, injury or near miss is logged internally and reviewed. Clients affected by an incident are contacted directly.

12. Non-medical home care

Our home care service is non-medical. Caregivers provide companionship, homemaking, meal preparation, laundry, errands, appointment company, respite for family caregivers and overnight presence. They do not provide health care.

Caregivers will never administer or hand out medication, give injections, perform wound, catheter or ostomy care, carry out nursing assessments, or complete transfers requiring a mechanical lift or two trained staff. Where a need crosses that line we say so plainly and refer the family to Northern Health or, in an emergency, call 911.

Caregivers do not drive clients in their own vehicles. Errands and shopping are arranged in writing, and cash or cards are never held informally by a caregiver.

Home care is quoted from a written care plan agreed with the family, with a three-hour minimum per visit. The plan is reviewed whenever needs change, and either side may end care with reasonable notice as set out in your care agreement.

Caregivers are screened and trained by us. Hiring one of our caregivers privately, outside this agreement, breaches section 10.

Health-related details you share for a care plan are treated as sensitive personal information and are handled under our privacy policy, visible only to the staff arranging or delivering care.
