Terms of service
These terms cover software subscriptions sold at the-helper.ca/apps. They are separate from the terms covering our cleaning and home care services.
1. Your subscription
A subscription gives your organisation a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app you paid for, on the plan and seat count you selected, for as long as the subscription is active and paid.
2. Billing and renewal
Prices are shown in your selected currency and exclude applicable taxes. Monthly plans renew every month and yearly plans every twelve months, automatically, on the card you provided, until you cancel. Failed payments are retried; access may be suspended if payment is not recovered.
3. Cancellation
You may cancel at any time. Cancellation stops the next renewal; access continues to the end of the paid period. See our refund policy for money-back terms.
4. Your data
Your business data stays yours. We process it only to run the service you subscribed to. You can request a CSV export at any time, and we delete your data on request within 30 days of cancellation unless the law requires us to keep records.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use the apps to send unlawful or unsolicited bulk messages, to store content you don't have rights to, to attempt to breach security, or to resell access without a written agreement with us.
6. Availability and support
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where practical. Support is by email during Canadian business hours.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a subscription is limited to the amount you paid for that subscription in the twelve months before the claim. The apps assist with accounting, payroll, tax and marketing decisions but do not replace professional advice.
8. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; material changes are emailed to active subscribers before they take effect. Questions go to apps@the-helper.ca. These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
